Privacy policy
What we collect at HappyDealsClub, why we collect it, and the ways you can tell us to stop, written in the same plain English we use at the counter.
All our policies
Plain language on purpose, if something reads like a trick, email us and we'll fix the sentence.
Your data, in plain terms
We run a café and a roastery, not an ad network. We collect what the orders need and not much else.
When you book a table, order beans or write to us, we get the details you typed in: name, email, phone, maybe a delivery address. The site also logs the usual anonymous traffic numbers so we know which pages get read and which get ignored.
We don't sell anything to anyone, we don't buy lists, and we don't run ad trackers. The full breakdown is below; if a sentence isn't clear, ask, happydealsclub@gmail.com reaches a human.
01
What we collect and why
Orders and bookings. Name, email, phone number and (for beans shipped to you) a postal address. We use it to fulfil the order and contact you if something changes, a delayed roast day, a rescheduled workshop.
Messages. Whatever you write in the contact form or email, kept so the thread makes sense if you write back.
Site analytics. Pages visited, rough location (city level), device type. It tells us whether the wholesale page gets read more than the blog, it doesn't follow you around the internet.
02
Who sees it
Our own crew, the shipping carrier if you've ordered beans, and the booking tool that powers the contact form. Payment details never touch our server, the payment processor handles that end to end.
We keep order records for as long as tax law requires (seven years in Canada) and email threads for about two years. Analytics data is anonymized and can't be traced back to you.
03
Your controls
- See what we have on you, email us and we'll export it
- Fix or delete your details, same email, no forms to fight
- Unsubscribe from deal emails, one click, honoured within 48 hours
- Decline cookies, the banner on the home page remembers the answer
Legal pages make everyone sleepy, so we wrote the GDPR-focused version separately, that one's for the compliance-minded.
