Barista training workshops, hands on
Barista training workshops at HappyDealsClub put you on a real machine for three hours, dialing in, steaming milk and pouring art, taught by the bar crew.

Three hours that fix your home coffee
Most bad home coffee isn't the beans or the machine, it's ten small habits nobody corrected. We correct them.
Workshops run on our bar machines plus whatever you bring from home, plenty of people lug in their espresso maker and we work on that instead. Class size caps at six so everyone gets real time on the steam wand, not a demonstration from a distance.
You leave with a cheat-sheet card for your machine, a bag of beans dialed to your setup, and the muscle memory of about forty steamed pitchers. Alumni email us photos of their pours for weeks, we answer every one.
- Three levels: home basics, milk & art, pro dial-in
- Bring your own machine or use ours
- Max 6 people, everyone steams, nobody watches
- Includes 340 g of beans + your grind spec written down
Milk lab, month 12
If the workshop doesn't click, wrong level, wrong day, whatever, tell us on the day and we'll move you to another date or refund the fee. Skills should stick, not the regret.
Workshop prices
Flat per-person pricing, beans included.
The Full Year
All three levels across a year, in order, plus a standing seat at Thursday cuppings. For people who want the hobby to stick.
$330Every level includes a 340 g bag, grind notes and a month of follow-up questions by email.
What three hours looks like
Ten minutes of theory, the rest at the machine.
Taste the problem
Sour, bitter, flat, we pull shots that fail on purpose so you know what each fault tastes like.
Grind and dose
Why 18 g in and 36 out matters more than the bean. You dial a grinder to spec.
Steam until it's silk
The pitcher drill: stretch, roll, kill. You repeat it forty times until it's boring.
Pour something recognizable
Hearts first. If the day goes well, a wobbly tulip. Either way you know exactly why it wobbled.
Write your spec
We note your machine, grind setting and recipe on your card. Repeatable beats lucky.
Workshop day

Taught by working baristas
Your trainer pulled shots at 7 AM and teaches at 9:30.
Workshops rotate between Sam and Priya, both SCA-trained, both still on the bar every week. They teach the shortcuts they'd actually use, and they're honest about which café tricks aren't worth doing at home.
